The Twenties: The joy of cooking and the enthusiasm for good cookware inspires Heinrich BERNDES and his wife Sophie with a desire to set up their own company. In 1921, BERNDES is founded in Arnsberg (Germany), a young family company that is going to specialize in producing cookware.
The Fifties: Due to the booming economy, there is growing demand for consumer goods, and the kitchen becomes a focus of attention. BERNDES realizes the needs of the time, shows the spirit of innovation, and experiments with non-stick pans. A revolution in non-stick techniques, BERNDES "Made in Germany".
